I'm just curious. How/When are we going to see the new design? does anyone know? Are we going to come to the site and will it look different before we even log in or are we going to come see everything as normal log in and BAM! everything changes? can anyone give me some insight as to how it will go down? will the HT let us know when the "change" will happen or will it be a surprise?

-> A rough schedule (but I can't give any specific dates) looks like this:

You've seen two examples (screenshots) of the new design. You will also get to see other examples soon. When the new design is done (all pages transfered/built), we will let stage users test it. After the test phase is completed, the new design will be releases for everyone. We will inform you in advance when the design will change, so you're prepared for it. A rough estimation would be that the new design will be released within 2-3 months, so we're not that far way.

Wann werden wir das neue Design zu sehen bekommen und wie wird es ablaufen?

-> Ich kann leider kein Datum nennen. Aber es wird in der näheren Zukunft neue Beispiele in Form von Bildern geben. Wenn wir alles fertig haben, werden zunächst die Stage-User es testen können. Auf jeden Fall werden wir euch vorher informieren, bevor wir das neue Design für alle zur Verfügung stellen. Grob geschätzt, es kommt innerhalb von ca. 2 bis 3 Monaten.

I'm sorry if it has already been mentioned, but there is a feature I'd love to have implemented now that you are rewriting everything anyway:
A "translate this page into [dropdown menu]" function on all pages (especially the player page) without it changing my preference settings in my profile.

You're aware that you can go to the start page (click to hattrick logo for example) and change language there, and it only changes your language for that session?

Don't underestimate this. I've seen quite a lot threads concerning this missing feature on the players page in the conferences in the last months.

I'd make a big note on this "community wish" on that dev's table. :)

Wir suchen nach Redakteuren für unsere kommende Erweiterung: Hattrick Press. Dies ist ein Feature, bei dem du eigene Artikel zu Hattrick-bezogenen Themen einreichen und bei Hattrick veröffentlichen kannst. Vielleicht magst du ja Berichte zum nationalen Pokal oder zur ersten Liga, Kommentare zu verschiedenen Strategien oder neuen Erweiterungen verfassen?

Als Redakteur bist du dafür zuständig, eingereichte Artikel zu lesen und zu akzeptieren, sicherzustellen, dass die Artikel relevant und interessant für die Community sind. Wie alle Mitarbeiter musst du gute Englischkenntnisse haben, da wir mit dir kommunizieren müssen. Zudem sind ein gutes (und sicheres) Urteilsvermögen sowie Enthusiasmus von Bedeutung. Wir benötigen Redakteure aus so vielen Ländern wie nur möglich, als auch zwei globale Vertreter, die für alle Redakteure verantwortlich sein werden.

Falls du Interesse hast, sende deine Bewerbung (auf Englisch) an die GMs, die dafür sorgen, dass sie auf unserem Schreibtisch landet.

Anscheinend hat Hattrick von meiner Idee, einen Blog zu führen, erfahren und will jetzt selbst einen machen? Natürlich könnte das „Press“ auch darauf hindeuten, dass es eine Zeitung geben wird. Ich für meinen Teil, lasse mich mal überraschen. An für sich ist es eine gute Idee, aber da es nur auf „Englisch?“ Veröffentlicht wird, sehe ich keine Konkurrenz für mich. Sollte es wider erwarten doch von den LAs übersetzt werden, ist es zwar eine Konkurrenz für mich, der ich aber offen gegenüber stehe, weil ich dadurch andere Sichtsweisen von z.B. Neuerungen erfahren kann. Jedoch wird es wohl nicht so umfangreich sein, wie dieser Blog. Und mal ehrlich, die Bundesliga oder der Pokal mag zwar für einige interessant sein, aber sicherlich nicht für die Hauptmasse der aktiven HT-User. Desweiteren kann man als unabhängiger Schreiberling, was die HT-Schreiber wohl kaum sind, kritischer mit Hattrick ins Gericht gehen.

Congratulations, great job with trainings.

-> Thanks. It feels great that we managed to fix the training delays even before yesterday's training, even though we initially thought we would have to wait until next week for a complete fix. We know the training update is something you enjoy - a highlight of the week, so it feels great to deliver that highlight to you as it should be delivered.

-> Danke, es fühlt sich gut an das wir es geschafft haben, dass das Training [vorrangig in Spanien als größtes HT-Land, da es in den letzten Wochen am meisten Probleme damit gab Anm. der Red.] planmäßig abläuft auch wenn wir zunächst dachten, dass wir es erst zur nächsten Woche repariert bekommen.

-> In a way. As the we get more and more players in the Hattrick universe, we always have to consider how to deal with the size of the player databases to perform the training update in a good way. Things will for sure change in the future, which may slow down the training update. Hopefully we can be on top of that though, before you begin to experience any delays.

(There are for course also other temporary things which can delay updates, but that's out of the ordinary so to say)

-> In gewisser Weise, ja. Man muss halt immer ein Auge auf die Überwachung schmeißen.

As mentioned in the message we hate to do this, but releasing something which we don't think is 100% right feels utterly wrong. And we don't want to rush something new through...I think you agree in that. That said, I know you will not like these news that much. :(

Can you tell what exactly is wrong with the way it was planned till now, and what direction you are heading now?

-> It's hard to say when it's more of a gut feeling, but I'll give it a try. We like the initial idea with how you have to convert the right chance, but in a way it kind of differs too much from the rest of the tactics. This makes it look complicated (even if it just looks far more complicated than what it really is), and that's not very much Hattrick. Moreover, it's also hard to spot the "downside" of this tactics, and we also think that can be a problem when users want to understand this tactic.

So, what we're aiming at is making it work a bit more like the other tactics, ie a design which is a little bit more simple.

Can you already give a guess when there will be a long shot tactic? Like in two seasons, in three or a "test" in friendlies already in the middle of next season?

-> I will not make any promise, but I hope it will be ready sooner than two-three seasons. And I think it will. After all, there are teams who have started to build their teams for long shots etc and we have an obligation to them that they haven't done that all in vain. So, it's safe to say that it will be a prioritized feature.

-> Yep we do, that's one possible direction for us.

What are the other possible directions?

-> One could also think of kind of the CA conversion, which means there is no guarantee that a chance will be converted. (No extra chances are likely to be created, just to spell that out). There is also a defending team (as we got a defending sp rating to use), and that might also affect the conversion no matter which type of design you choose (making it not just up to the attacking team in that case).

-> It is top priority for us, but we just don't want to make up a promise even though we think we will be ready within a season or so. First of all, we have to find a new design for long shots which we are satisfied with and which we're convinced will be a great addition to the game. And as we haven't done that yet (even if we got good hopes to find one), we feel it would be even more disrespectful to promise something which we frankly don't know if we will be able to live up to. I think it's already safe to say that we've failed to live up to some promises, and one lesson we have to learn from that is also that you can't promise on things which actually aren't ready yet. Especially not things which haven't left the drawing board yet, where long shots now are back on. This doesn't mean we don't hope or think it will be ready within a season or so, but we can't promise you that.

This question interests me too. If I understood well, this was related to indirect free-kick reform, so it should change as announced. Is so, GK skill on free-kicks will integrate SP ability.

-> Yes. In short, all other "SP reforms" except long shots are still on.

-> Yes. In our aim to inform you as early as possible I think we took a bit too far. We will from now on inform when the feature is ready for (test)launch, and not when the feature has left the drawing board for implementation.

Ihr sagt, ihr habt eure Lektion gelernt, in Bezug auf zu frühes öffentlich machen von neuen Featuren?

-> Ja, wir werden ab sofort neue Features erst öffentlich machen, wenn wir sie in der Testumgebung testen wollen.
